Dave has been a qualified chartered accountant since 1989 and
has been with Staples Rodway since 1994. He became a Director
in1998. Dave grew up in a farming community in North Otago,
but has lived in Christchurch for over 20 years now.
Dave can help clients with:
- Structuring and ongoing advice regarding appropriate and
efficient business ownership structures;
- Management reporting, including provision of regular management
accounts and advice;
- Franchising, both franchisors and franchisees including
feasibility analysis and due diligence; and
- General accounting advice, including annual statutory financial
accounts and associated tax matters.
Dave's qualifications and current and past memberships
include;
- More than 20 years experience giving accounting and business
advice;
- Chartered Accountant - New Zealand Institute of Chartered
Accountants;
- Treasurer and member of the executive of the Canterbury West
Coast Division of the Cancer Society of New Zealand;
- Chair of the National Finance, Audit and Risk Committee of the
Cancer Society of New Zealand;
- Director of Daffodil Enterprises Ltd, a charitable company
associated with the Cancer Society; and
- Chair of the Waimari School Board of Trustees.
Dave is married with 2 children. He skis, occasionally runs and
is an avid Rugby follower
